Exemplos brasileiros de programas de controle de asma

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine which Brazilian programs demonstrate experience in asthma management. Data on and characteristics of those programs were obtained by electronic mail. The variables studied were related to the program itself, its patients and staff. Descriptive statistics were used in the study, which evaluated 17 programs. “…It is also clear from the results that awareness of and decision making by public managers are determining factors for the success or failure of program activities. This is a characteristic of Brazilian society and is not related directly to health, but rather to politics, ( 20 ) especially since the asthma interventions in the community that are mentioned in the present study ( 5 ) were designed in state or municipal departments of health or in public universities.
