“…However, most of this research consists of "one-off" descriptive or correlational studies, rather than lines of research devoted to developing a comprehensive understanding of the effects of exercise on psychological wellbeing in populations with physical disability. Many such studies have reported that physical activity is associated with improved psychological well-being (for reviews, see Martin, 2012, andMartin Ginis, Jetha, Mack, &Hetz, 2010).
