Existing Situation of Local Ports and Comparison with Major Ports

Abstract

It is reported that local ports are under severe conditions in a sense of low workability ． We carry out solne researches on cargo handling volume of containers ， number of cranes ， kinds of berth and unused area in port ． The obtained results are sulnmarized as follows． Acharacteristic of the local ports is cleared using a relation between the cargo handling vol − ume and number of enterd ships ． The local ports are classified into two groups ， one has
