Experiential Learning for Teaching Structural Analysis to Non-Engineering Students

Abstract

His PhD research focused on ductility-based design and structural stability of high strength steel structures using theoretical, numerical and experimental methods. Dr. Shokouhian has published several peer-reviewed journal papers since 2004 and participated in a number of international high ranking conferences. As regards academic experiences, he is currently teaching undergraduates and graduate students at Morgan State University. He was officially employed as Lecturer in Islamic Azad University in 2002, he obtained considerable teaching experience for eight years (2002)(2003)(2004)(2005)(2006)(2007)(2008)(2009)(2010) and he lectured several courses in Civil and Structural Engineering as well as Engineering Management.
