Experimental and Numerical Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis on the Flow at Pelton Turbine Nozzle with Various Opening Settings

Abstract: This paper refers to the flow analysis of nozzle with spear for different nozzle opening of Pelton turbine. Experimental test was performed by using model turbine to find out the parameters during testing period. The flow rate, head and the rotational speed on the turbine shaft are measured for various nozzle openings covering a wide operation range.
