Experimental and Numerical Simulation Study on the Shock and Vibration Effect of OD1422‐X80 Mainline Natural Gas Pipeline Explosion

Abstract: In this paper, the explosion experiment of the OD1422-X80 natural gas pipeline was carried out. The phenomenon of pipeline explosion was recorded, and a large amount of data on vibration effects were obtained. The data showed that the ground vibration during the explosion was mainly caused by the physical explosion process, and the subsequent gas explosion did not produce strong vibration. Based on the ANSYS/LS-DYNA platform, a numerical calculation model of this experiment was established. The numerical resul… Show more

“…Based on the construction situation of each site, the formation attenuation effect [20], hollow effect [21], and high-rise building amplification effect of blasting vibration propagation law were under consideration [22]. The maximum quantities for the detonating period, total quantity for detonating period, horizontal distance, vertical distance, the shortest distance from packet to the free surface, differential time, the integrity of excavated and unexcavated layer, transmission medium, and types of explosive were selected as the condition attributes (a-i).…”

“…At present, for the dynamic response of pipeline subjected to blasting vibration, many scholars have conducted relevant research (Ma et al, 2019; Mohamed and Mohamed, 2013; Sohrabi and Moradi, 2017; Yuen et al, 2013). In terms of field test, Scott et al through full-scale test to evaluate the effect of blast loading on the performance of pile and pipeline subjected to lateral expansion (Scott and Teerawut, 2002).…”
