Experimental Aspergillosis in buffaloes: Histopathological, histochemical and serological studies

Abstract: Pathogenicity trials of Aspergillus f/awus (buffalo isolate) and A . fumigatus (human isolate) were carried out in buffalo calves by inoculating conidiospores intravenously and intratracheally in varying dosage. Haematological examination at weekly intervals revealed leucocytosis-(mainly due to neutrophilia) which usually reached the maximum at 3 weeks PI. Gross and microscopic lesions were mostly recorded in the kidneys, heart, 408-425.
