Experimental Autonomous Road Vehicle with Logical Artificial Intelligence

Abstract: This article describes some technical issues regarding the adaptation of a production car to a platform for the development and testing of autonomous driving technologies. A universal approach to performing the reverse engineering of electric power steering (EPS) for the purpose of external control is also presented. The primary objective of the related study was to solve the problem associated with the precise prediction of the dynamic trajectory of an autonomous vehicle. This was accomplished by deriving a n… Show more

“…In recent years, with the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology [1,2], many intelligent algorithms, such as genetic algorithms, expert intelligence systems [3,4], neural network algorithms [5][6][7], and fuzzy logic algorithms [8,9] are widely used in the automation research of automobiles and aerial vehicle [10]. On the other side, the revolution of navigation technology also promoted the development of ship automation and ship intelligence technology, and the Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) or the Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) have become a popular research topic [11][12][13].…”

“…The creation of a logical type of AI is devoted to inferences, models of reduction (transformation of a complex solution into a simple solution), abduction (propose a hypothesis), induction (reasoning from particular to general), truth maintenance systems, and decisions support systems. The MIVAR (Multidimensional Informational Variable Adaptive Reality) approach allows creating all of AI types, but the most it is appropriate for the development of logical AI [1]- [3]. The introduction of AI into medicine establishes entirely new surroundings for both doctors and patients.…”
