Experimental Demonstration of a Cognitive Optical Network for Reduction of Restoration Time

Abstract: This paper presents the implementation and performance evaluation of a cognitive heterogeneous optical network testbed. The testbed integrates the CMP, the data plane and the cognitive system and reduces by 48% the link restoration time.
