Abstract:The plugging and permeability impairment processes involved in the treatment and conditioning of high permeability porous formations is investigated at various temperatures by flowing of a suspension of gel particles through unconsolidated proppant packs. The permeability reduction and resistance factor are inferred by measurements of the pressure differentials with time across the proppant pack. Temperature effect is observed to be an important factor in suspended gel treatment of high permeability near-wellb… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
