Abstract:Jet A-1 fuel’s autoignition behaviour was examined experimentally in a newly developed rapid compression machine (RCM) at the University of Sheffield. The experiment was conducted at a compressed temperature at compressed temperatures of 697 K ⩽ Tc ⩽ 796 K, compressed pressure of 6 and 10 bar, and under lean and stoichiometric conditions (φ = 0.75 and 1.0).
