Experimental Studies of Efficient Wells Completion in Depleted Gas Condensate Fields by Using Foams

Abstract: The reasons for decreasing the well operating parameters of depleted gas condensate fields have been analysed. A new approach has been proposed, which involves restoring the wells productivity by creating foam by means of a device developed for removing liquid from the well bottom. The expediency of using foam has been experimentally investigated for gas condensate wells to be completed and their productivity to be recovered. Techniques for removing liquid contaminants from wells have been developed, which inv… Show more

“…At the enterprises of JSC "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" to ensure the stabilization of hydrocarbon production, various measures are being developed, which are aimed at preventing possible complications, in particular, the accumulation of liquid in the well flowlines, as well as the formation of hydrates. Thus, to prevent the accumulation of liquid pollution in the inner cavity of the well flowlines, it is advisable to periodically clean them by creating a high-speed gas flow [3][4], using a surfactant solution [5][6], using foam of different multiplicity [7][8] and other methods . The optimal method should be chosen based on experimental studies.…”

“…At present, most hydrocarbon fields in Ukraine are depleted and nearing the final stage of development. During this stage, a considerable amount of formation water and hydrocarbon condensate is produced alongside the gas flow [1][2][3], leading to the accumulation of liquid contaminants in low points of gas gathering and processing pipeline systems. These accumulations pose substantial hydraulic resistance, resulting in increased pressure losses, reduced pipeline capacity, and decreased the recovery of hydrocarbon volumes.…”
