“…Recently the thermo-fluid group from UTHM developed the concept of 'circle grids fractal' flow conditioner. Based on hot wire measurements of the mean velocity profiles and the axial turbulence intensity, the device has been shown to be efficient in the production of the fully developed condition within 5 pipe diameters of flow development [5]. Although this type of flow conditioner had been proved experimentally in term of efficiency and short distance fully developed velocity profile [6], there are several questions that need to be answered to define the geometry that would provide the optimum performance.…”
