Experimental study of fragmentation products in the reactions112Sn+112Snand124Sn

Abstract: Production cross-sections and longitudinal velocity distributions of the projectile-like residues produced in the reactions 112 Sn + 112 Sn and 124 Sn + 124 Sn both at an incident beam energy of 1·A GeV were measured with the high-resolution magnetic spectrometer, the Fragment Separator (FRS) of GSI. For both reactions the characteristics of the velocity distributions and nuclide production cross sections were determined for residues with atomic number Z ≥ 10. A comparison of the results of the two reactions i… Show more

“…Recently, experiments for two symmetric systems 124 Sn + 124 Sn and 112 Sn + 112 Sn, both at an incident energy of 1 GeV/nucleon, were performed by the fragment separator (FRS) collaboration at the GSI laboratory [7]. The high-resolution magnetic fragment separator was used for the separation and identification of the reaction products.…”

“…The isotopic cross sections of the measured fragments for these two reactions were tabulated in Ref. [2]. Previously, we have already analyzed similar reactions: In particular, the ALADIN data were successfully interpreted [3].…”
