Abstract: The spray and combustion characteristics of a gas-centered swirl coaxial (GCSC) injector used in oxidizer-rich staged combustion cycle engines were analyzed. The study focused on varying the recess ratio, presence of gas swirl, and swirl direction to improve injector performance.
