“…At present, previous studies of the hydraulic and filtering performance of screen filters have all been conducted under POPF conditions. According to various factors, such as the internal geometry structural parameters and external factors, including different sand concentrations, flow rates, inlet pressures and screen apertures, where experimental methods were employed to test and calculate the head loss, amount and size of intercepted sediment (Qin, 2017;Qin et al, 2017;Shi et al, 2020;Wu et al, 2014;Zhang et al, 2017;Zhu et al, 2020;Zong et al, 2015;Zong et al, 2017), numerical simulation methods are used to analyse the motion and distribution of particles and flow patterns in the filter (Alifujiang et al, 2017;Anthony et al, 2018;Tao et al, 2017;Yu et al, 2018;Zhou et al, 2020;Zong et al, 2013).
