Abstract: Per-and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) can be found in nearly every aqueous environmental compartment, including rainwater, snow, surface waters, lakes, and oceans. Despite the global distribution of PFAS in the aquatic environment, little is known regarding their diffusion through aqueous systems.
