The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between critical-thinking tendency and problem-solving skills of pre-service teachers. Research was modelled as relational screening model. The population of the research consisted of pre-service teachers from a faculty of education during the 2013-2014 academic year. The sample of the research consisted of 656 students who were studying different fields of education at the faculty.Stratified sampling method was used in choosing the sample. The variable of students' field was taken as stratified according to the ratio in the population. Facione, Facione, and Giancarlo's (1998) "California Critical Thinking Tendency Inventory" and Heppner and Petersen's (1982) "Problem Solving Inventory" and a personal information form were used to collect the data. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, parametric tests and correlation analysis. In this study, a near moderate-level and positive correlation was found between the Critical thinking tendency and Problem solving skills of pre-service teachers.

This article investigates students' perceptions of the relationship between Problem-Solving and the activities and resources used in a Web-based course on the fundamentals of Information Technology at a university in Montreal, Canada. We assess for the different learning components of the course, the extent of perceived problem-solving skills acquisition including research, creativity and critical thinking skills. The course entailed two categories of learning, namely resources-based and interactive components. The study aimed at answering the following questions: 1) To what extent do students understand the definitions of Problem-solving, Research, and Creative Idea Generation skills, and Critical Thinking skills? (2) What is the relative contribution of the various learning components (activities and resources) of the course to the perceived acquisition of Problem-Solving, Research, and Creative Idea Generations skills, and Critical Thinking skills; (3) Is the understanding of the definitions correlated with the perceived contributions of the learning components (activities and resources) of the course to the skills development? (4) To what extent is perceived Problem-solving skill acquisition explained by the acquisition of the other three skills?

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major domino effect on industrial economies. Various policies and strategies are carried out by the government, one of the concrete steps is by issuing incentive and relaxation policies in the field of taxation for taxpayers. The Directorate General of Taxation (DGT) has the task of providing information dissemination on taxation and the current condition of COVID-19 has brought transformation to a webinar. This strategy is carried out to keep providing information and education on tax relief. This study aims to identify the extent of the influence of the webinar strategy on taxpayer participation. The sample technique in this study was purposive sampling and obtained 307 respondents who participated in the DJP webinar. This research uses a Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) theoretical approach to see the communication process of participants and speakers in a communication technology-based webinar. From the research results, it was found that there was a significant influence in the use of webinars. This is shown from the aspect of system quality, quality of information, service quality from webinars through the Zoom Meeting application, thereby increasing taxpayer participation.
