This paper explores the frontiers of research on Corporate Governance, analyzes the dominant theoretical framework, and proposes a research agenda based on practice theorists. It highlights the need to consider social dimensions alongside rational-utilitarian aspects in corporate governance practices. By examining everyday organizational practices, the study aims to foster a reflective and holistic understanding of corporate governance. It challenges the conventional contractual relationship between agents and principals, emphasizing the complexity and interdependence within this field.
