Background: Studies on innovations have been focused on teams, institutions, and organisations without accounting for the role of the executive’s gender. Objectives: This research aims to analyse how small Colombian firms manage technological innovation from the perspective of the gender of executives. Methods/Approach: A quantitative approach and cross-sectional, non-experimental design through Structural Equation Models with PLS-SEM was used. We self-administered a survey randomly to gather data from 145 small firms’ owners or managers in the department of Bogota, Colombia. Results: The results obtained from multi-group analysis evidence that process innovation has a strong and significant positive impact on the innovation of products, and no significant differences were found when comparing the performance of male executives versus female executives. However, descriptive statistics showed that female executives give more importance to the process and product innovation activities, and they demonstrated to manage a better product innovation performance than male executives. Conclusions: The evidence reveals that female executives are more committed to developing new products and choose to acquire new skills or equipment to develop products and processes. It is, therefore, essential to eliminate organisations’ cultural stereotypes and take advantage of women’s potential in management leadership.

Digital platforms hold a central position in today's world economy and are said to offer a great potential for the economies and societies in the global South. Yet, to date, the scholarly literature on digital platforms has largely concentrated on business while their developmental implications remain understudied. In part, this is because digital platforms are a challenging research object due to their lack of conceptual definition, their spread across different regions and industries, and their intertwined nature with institutions, actors and digital technologies. The purpose of this article is to contribute to the ongoing debate in information systems and ICT4D research to understand what digital platforms mean for development. To do so, we first define what digital platforms are and differentiate between transaction and innovation platforms, and explain their key characteristics in terms of purpose, research foundations, material properties and business models. We add the socio-technical context digital platforms operate and the linkages to developmental outcomes. We then conduct an extensive review to explore what current areas, developmental goals, tensions and issues emerge in the literature on platforms and development and identify relevant gaps in our knowledge. Inclusive entrepreneurship refers to the participation of underrepresented groups in entrepreneurialism in order to assist them in overcoming social and economic challenges as well, that plays a very significant role in poverty reduction. This study propounds that the main solution to this issue is to promote inclusive entrepreneurship (the definition of inclusive entrepreneur is who produce inclusive as well as innovative services and goods). Among students who are graduating from tertiary education in Malaysia. The theory of planned behaviour is employed to predict the inclusive entrepreneurial intention that can be the key to bridge the existing gaps in understanding the intention of youth to be inclusive entrepreneurs, also testing the moderation effect of gender to compare the males' and females' behavioural traits towards the intention of being an inclusive entrepreneur. The regression analysis results show attitude and perceived behavioural control are significant towards Inclusive Entrepreneurial Intention, and the moderation effect of gender is significant for the relationship of attitude towards inclusive entrepreneurial intention. Concluding the males express higher intention than females to provide high-quality products at very low costs sustainably and considering the mass outreach as well as including the excluded population which is translated to inclusive products or services.
