“…Similar research on other crops also showed that nano-CuO or nano-Se did not negatively influence the studied antioxidants in crops, such as in tomato ( Solanum lycopersicum L.) [ 61 ], florist’s daisy [ 7 ], rice ( Oryza sativa ) [ 62 ], and banana seedlings [ 11 ]. Similar results were reported for other nanofertilizers, such as a ZnO nanofertilizer on maize ( Zea mays L.) [ 53 ] and a K nanofertilizer on squash ( Cucurbita maxima L.) [ 63 ].…”

“…Our findings signalize that all the vital components present in SBH, including the Sim contributed efficiently to the improvement of the A. nummularia seedling ability to adapt well to multi-stress and withstand stress harmful conditions through optimizing different plant metabolic processes, cellular division and elongation, and biomass accumulation, allowing plants to perform well [16,17,65,66]. The noticeable enhanced growth of the A. nummularia seedling (length and dry weight of shoots) under soil multi-stress by foliar spray with SBH may be attributed to the increased root activity as an effective mechanism to increase root uptake of water and nutrients from the defective soil tested.…”

“…Nanofertilizers have efficiency to reduce the nutrient loss via controlled release and thus may minimize the amount of fertilizer application in the field [ 145 ]. According to the available literature, nanofertilizers are benefiting several crop yields [ 146 , 147 , 148 , 149 ]. Gatahi et al (2015) studied the impacts of nanobiofertilizer in tomato crops affected by Ralstonia solanacearum -caused bacterial wilt disease and its pest-resistant function against wilt disease [ 150 ].…”
