Abstract: BACKGROUND: Preeclampsia is a serious condition of pregnancy, complicated by aberrant maternal vascular dysfunction. CNP (C-type natriuretic peptide) contributes to vascular homeostasis, acting through NPR-B (natriuretic peptide receptor-B) and NPR-C (natriuretic peptide receptor-C).
