“…Based on previous endeavors, renowned international organizations have started to propose frameworks and take initiatives to promote social justice in language teaching. Edited by Ortaçtepe Hart and Martel (2020), TESOL Journal published a special issue titled "Exploring the transformative potential of English language teaching for social justice: Introducing the special issue," where social justice advocacy in English classrooms is focused.
