“…To avoid the impact of scavengers on oil removal in surface-washing processes, quenching experiments of reactive species were conducted by measuring the oil concentration in oil-in-water emulsions. The oil-in-water emulsion was prepared by vigorously stirring engine oil and UP water using a homogenizer (Ultra-Turrax T25, IKA, Germany) at 12,000 rpm for 30 min . Subsequently, a mixture containing an emulsion (15 mL), MoS 2 , and a scavenger was sealed in vials and shaken at 300 rpm and 20 °C for 24 h.
