“…The expansion of its use in perioperative period in the Indian scenario is indicated by an increasing number of centers incorporating perioperative TEE into their practice, which is reflected by an increasing sale of echocardiography equipment, increasing popularity of TEE conferences globally and attendance at the Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (IACTA) TEE workshop.
