Recombinant soybean class V ER oxidoreductase, GmPDIM and wheat class V ER oxidoreductase possess an oxidative refolding activity similar to that of class IV Kimura et al, 2015). In the soybean, GmPDIL-1, GmPDIL-2, GmPDIM, GmPDIS-1, and GmPDIS-2 were found to associate transiently with a seed storage precursor protein, proglycinin, in the ER of the cotyledon by coimmunoprecipitation experiments, suggesting that multiple ER oxidoreductases are involved in the folding of the nascent proglycinin.…”
