Abstract:The pancreas is a complex gland that possesses both endocrine and exo-crine functions. The present study investigated the gross anatomy, histochemical fea-tures, and immunohistochemical expression of insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, and pancreatic polypeptide in the pancreas of the Eurasian moorhen.
