Abstract: Background: PR-M refers to a novel truncated progesterone receptor located on the outer membrane of mitochondria, capable of facilitating the proliferation of leiomyoma cells and breast cancer cells, as well as inhibiting apoptosis as impacted by progesterone or progesterone agonists.
