The Fas/Fas-Ligand system is an important mediator of apoptosis. We analyzed their expression in tissue specimens obtained from 33 women with severe endometriosis and 18 women without endometriosis. Immunostaining for Fas-Ligand in the eutopic endometrium was stronger in the epithelial cells of secretory phase, while the epithelial cells of endometriotic lesions showed a significantly stronger staining for Fas-Ligand independently from the menstrual phase (P < 0.01). Immunostaining for Fas in the eutopic endometrium showed a reduced staining during the proliferative phase, whereas it was strong in the secretory phase. The epithelial cells of the ectopic endometrium showed a reduced staining for Fas independently from the menstrual phase with respect to the eutopic tissue (P < 0.01). The reduced expression of Fas in the ectopic endometrium with the contemporary higher expression of Fas-Ligand in the corresponding cells suggests a possible immune privilege of this tissue.

Endometriosis consists of extra-uterine functional endometrial tissue. It is usually located in the pelvis, but it can also be found in other sites. Cutaneous endometriosis is a rare condition and it develops in the most of cases above gynecological or obstetric scars, although it may also appear spontaneously. We present a 39-year-old woman with umbilical and abdominal dermal nodules retracting the surrounding cutis as a clinically characteristic form of spontaneous cutaneous endometriosis. The patient had no signs and symptoms of pelvic endometriosis. The histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations confirmed the clinical diagnosis.

Эндометриоз -хроническое заболевание, кото-рое представляет собой доброкачественное разраста-ние вне полости матки ткани, по морфологическим и функциональным свойствам подобной эндоме-трию [1]. Эктопические очаги эндометрия чаще все-го локализуются на яичниках, брюшине малого таза, в позадиматочном пространстве, крестцово-маточ-ных связках, на задних листках широких связок мат-ки и в области ректовагинальной перегородки. Реже очаги эндометриоза распространяются на серозный покров кишечника, мочевой пузырь, шейку матки, влагалище, лимфатические узлы, кожу, плевру и го-ловной мозг [2,3].Эндометриоз у женщин, страдающих бесплоди-ем и тазовыми болями, наблюдается более чем в 50% случаев. Общее количество больных эндометриозом в популяции (в 2013 г.) составило около 176 млн [1,4]. Эндометриоз -доброкачественное заболевание, поражающее 6-10% женщин репродуктивного возраста, а также основная причина хронических тазовых болей и бесплодия. в циклическом восстановлении ткани эндометрия определена роль популяции стволовых клеток, которые являются источником его физиологической регенерации. Представляет интерес патогенетическая роль стволовых клеток в формировании кровеносных сосудов de novo и дальнейшей инвазии очагов эктопического эндометрия. изучение патогенеза эндометриоза в аспекте исследования его стволовых (прогениторных) клеток представляет новые возможности в разработке более эффективных методов терапии.Ключевые слова : ангиогенез, костный мозг, эндометриоз, эндометрий, эндотелиальные клетки-предшественники, мезенхимные стволовые клетки, стромальные клетки, васкулогенез
