Abstract: Protease nexin-II (PN-II) is a potent chymotrypsin inhibitor that forms SDS-stable inhibitory complexes with epidermal growth factor binding protein, the gamma-subunit of nerve growth factor, and trypsin, and represents the secreted form of the amyloid beta-protein precursor (APP) that contains the Kunitz-type protease inhibitor domain.
