Abstract:The extended bond graph (EBG) method is used to model the distributed coupled magnetoelastic effects of general magnetostrictive continua. The mechanical and magnetic fields are described in terms of defined displacement and momentum states, and Galerkin’s discretization technique is applied to reticulate the dynamics of the fields into power flows which are defined as the inner products of extended efforts and flows. The power-based EBG descriptions are consistently used to represent the discretized inertia, … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
