Extended bond graph reticulation of magnetostrictive continua

Abstract: The extended bond graph (EBG) method is used to model the distributed coupled magnetoelastic effects of general magnetostrictive continua. The mechanical and magnetic fields are described in terms of defined displacement and momentum states, and Galerkin’s discretization technique is applied to reticulate the dynamics of the fields into power flows which are defined as the inner products of extended efforts and flows.
