Extended Disturbance Observer-Based Integral Sliding Mode Control for Nonlinear System via T–S Fuzzy Model

Abstract: In this paper, an extended disturbance observer-based integral sliding-mode control for a nonlinear system is proposed by the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model approach. The proposed method focuses on two points: First, improving the design flexibility of integral fuzzy sliding-mode control (IFSMC) by transforming a conventional T-S fuzzy model structure into a novel form. Second, expanding a previous disturbance observer-based control (DOBC) concept by introducing a Fourier analysis to deal with the non-periodi… Show more

“…Sakthivel et al [39] proposed the disturbance and uncertainty rejection based on a low-passfilter technique. Hwang and Kim [40] proposed a very effective extended disturbance observer-based integral sliding-mode control. However, the form of disturbance was assumed to be a specific form.…”

“…The tracking accuracy was further enhanced in [14], in which the modeled disturbances were estimated by a novel fuzzy disturbance observer and then compensated in the compound control law, in term of the semiglobally input-tostate practically stability of the closed-loop system. More recently, a disturbance observer-based integral slide-mode control scheme was proposed on the T-S fuzzy model to deal with the control problem of nonlinear system subjecting to non-periodic form of disturbance [15]. For more complicated chaotic processes, a fuzzy logic controller was proposed with stability analysis in [16].…”

“…The exogenous disturbance observer can be found in previously published papers. An exogenous disturbance observer was proposed for the T-S fuzzy system [45]. The problem of the exogenous inputs of a wind turbine system was investigated [46].…”
