“…Different approaches to therapy have been tested using the HIM-G, with some success noted for feedback techniques (Leith & Uhlemann, 1972); self-viewing and discussion (Robinson, 1970); individualized behavior goal setting (Uhlemann & Weigel, 1977); therapist activity (Kanas, Barr, & Dossick, 1985;Kanas & Smith, 1990); experiential leader style (Lewis & Mider, 1973); and short-term models of therapy with marital couples, adults, and adolescents (Silbergeld, Manderscheid, & Koenig, 1977). In comparing the HIM-G with other measures, Roe and Edwards (1978) found that the HIM-G and the Tmax and Carkhuff scales complemented each other, whereas Sisson, Sisson, and Gazda (1977) determined that the Bonney scale and HIM-G were not independent, discovering a linear relationship between the two rating systems.…”
