Abstract:The Minimal Learning Machine (MLM) has been recently proposed as a novel supervised learning method for regression problems aiming at reconstructing the mapping between input and output distance matrices. Estimation of the response is then achieved from the geometrical configuration of the output points. Thanks to its comprehensive formulation, the MLM is inherently capable of dealing with nonlinear problems and multidimensional output spaces. In this paper, we introduce an extension of the MLM to classificati… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
