Abstract:Polycythemia vera (PV) is one of the three BCR-ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms characterized by activating mutations in JAK2, which clinically presents as erythrocytosis and has an increased risk of both thromboembolic events and progression to myelofibrosis and acute myeloid leukemia.
