External flow velocity and synthetic jets parameters influence on cavity flow structure and acoustics characteristics using RANS/ILES

Abstract: An influence of synthetic jets on the flow in a three-dimensional cavity M219 was studied using RANS/ILES method. Calculations were performed for Mach numbers M 0 ¼ 0.85 and M 0 ¼ 1.5. Synthetic jets' operating parameters such as their position, number, frequency, and amplitude were varied. An impact of these parameters and M 0 on flow in the cavity, distributions, and levels of pressure fluctuations on the cavity walls as well as the narrowband spectra of pressure fluctuations were obtained.
