Extracellular Concentration of L-Cystine Determines the Sensitivity to System xc- Inhibitors

Abstract: Targeting the cystine/glutamate exchange transporter, system xc -, is a promising anticancer strategy that induces ferroptosis, which is a distinct form of cell death mediated by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation.
