Abstract:The review focuses on the use of free-circulating DNA (fcDNA) of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human papillomavirus (HPV) in the diagnosis of cancer. The results of researches of recent years indicate the perspective for the development of EBV and HPV scDNAs as diagnostic markers. Authors analyzed in details the contradictions in the various studies, indicating the need for standardization of research for the introduction of these new markers in clinical practice.
