Abstract:Proteasomes are major non‐lysosomal proteolytic complexes localized in the cytoplasm and in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. Strikingly, high levels of extracellular proteasome have also been evidenced in the plasma (p‐proteasome) of patients with specific diseases.
