A new methodology to quantitatively determine the mass and charge transfer parameters of an electrochemical reaction is applied successfully in this work for the study of the reduction of ferricyanide to ferrocyanide at a platinum electrode, rotating at 1000 rpm. It is concluded that the reaction can be described by a simple electron transfer and the values of the charge transfer parameters are: α ox = 5.00E-01 ± 8.75E-03 , k ox = 1.39E-08 ± 2.28E-09 and k red = 1.25E+00 ± 2.01E-01.
