Extraction of pure chemical contrast in scanned elemental mappings of surfaces

Abstract: A novel modification of the ratio techniques in on‐line data processing in the analytical mapping mode of the scanning microscope of microprobe is suggested which is suitable mainly for surface‐senstive imaging.
