Extraction of zinc(II) from ammoniacal solution into hydrophobic ionic liquids

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Separation and recovery of zinc from ammoniacal solutions with solvent extraction is very important in the hydrometallurgical industry. Ionic liquids (ILs) have considerable potential for the separation of metal ions.
