Extreme insulin resistance during pregnancy: a therapeutic challenge

Abstract: Summary During pregnancy, maternal tissues become increasingly insensitive to insulin in order to liberate nutritional supply to the growing fetus, but occasionally insulin resistance in pregnancy becomes severe and the treatment challenging.
