Extremum response surface method of reliability analysis on two-link flexible robot manipulator

Abstract: In order to present a new method for analyzing the reliability of a two-link flexible robot manipulator, Lagrange dynamics differential equations of the two-link flexible robot manipulator were established by using the integrated modal method and the multi-body system dynamics method. By using the Monte Carlo method, the random sample values of the dynamic parameters were obtained and Lagrange dynamics differential equations were solved for each random sample value which revealed their displacement, speed and … Show more

“…Many attempts to solve the effects of the uncertainties have led to the development of the other probabilistic analysis method-response surface method (RSM, also called surrogate model), and it was widely employed in many fields [15][16][17][18][19][20]. Currently, RSM is effective to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency in structural reliability by reducing the number of expensive finite element analysis [21][22][23][24][25]. The typical surrogate models include polynomial response surface method [15,16,21,22] and support vector machine (SVM) [25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32].…”

“…The allowable stress of the blade is There are six working conditions in the operating process of an aircraft, which follows this trajectory: start, slow, maximum, continuous, take off, climb cruise. In order to simplify the calculation, the climbing phase, during which the blade stress and deformation are greatest, is selected as the calculation point [4]. To study the influence of the fuzzy limit state on calculation results, the relationship between positional parameter Z a of the membership function and the mean square deviation σ z is defined as follows:…”

“…Zhang and G.C. Bai [4] established the Extremum Response Surface Method (ERSM) by using multiple dynamic parameters as random input variables. In this method, the ERSM is demonstrated as a highly accurate and highly efficient method in the reliability analysis of a two-link flexible robot manipulator.…”

Zhang et al did control to a flexible boom driven by hydraulic cylinder and had researched the vibration depression of the system [21,22]. The safety and diagnostic applied to concrete displacing boom are done by Ambrosio et al Then Resta et al established a 1 : 3 reduced model of a mobile concrete pump.…”
