Abstract:A 2 M 3 O 12 -type materials are widely studied due to their outstanding chemical flexibility, tunable low positive, negative, to near-zero coefficients of thermal expansion, and vast potential applicability from cooker hobs to housing for optical devices. Among the mechanisms for tuning their coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) are the substitution of the A 3+ cation, the insertion of bulky molecules inside the nanochannels of their crystal structure, and, possibly, the formation of extrinsic oxygen vacanc… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
