Fabrication and Optical Property of PeriodicSn1-xTixO2Nanostructures Patterned by the Polystyrene Mi

Abstract: Regular arrays ofSn1-xTixO2nanostructures were fabricated by glancing angle sputter deposition onto self-assembled close-packed arrays of 200 nm diameter, 500 nm diameter, and 1 μm diameter polystyrene microspheres, respectively. The morphology of the nanostructures could be modulated by the variation of the sputtering power of Ti target and the size of polystyrene microspheres templates. Accordingly, the performance of reflection which was dependent on the morphology of nanostructures could be tuned by optimi… Show more

“…The analysis of TiO2 nanoparticles showed rutile-phase TiO2, with characteristic diffraction peaks of 2θ values at 25°, 41°, 49° and 54° attributed to the (101), (111), (200) and (211) planes, respectively. These results are consistent with the literature [30]. showing no formation of the coating.…”

“…Some examples of this approach include: (i) antireflection and self-cleaning coatings for III-V multi-junction solar cells made of OAD layers of gold grown on nanocone arrays fabricated by plasma etching borosilicate glass [366], (ii) magnetron sputtered Ti x Sn 1Àx O 2 films prepared on top of a seed layer of polystyrene spheres [367,368], (iii) HfO 2 films [369] combined with amorphous porous silicon with closed porosity [370], and (iv) sculptured TiO 2 films [371].…”
