Fabrication and Performance Testing of a Novel Deformable Mirror Based on a Magnetic Polymeric Membrane

Abstract: We report the development of a new family of deformable mirrors using soft polymeric membranes with embedded magnetic nanoparticles. We measure the performance metrics of such membranes under the influence of voice coil actuators.
