Abstract: We conducted a simple solution-based method to fabricate Bi2S3 nanowire thin film solar cells by spin coating with varying sulfur-to-bismuth ratios. Spherical nanoparticles were observed in the thin film with low-concentration sulfur solution, with these nanoparticles gradually changing to nanorods. Finally, nanowires of Bi2S3 were observed in the thin film with a high sulfur concentration in solution. The band gap gradually decreased with the increase in sulfur concentration.
