“…Much work has not been done on tropical Tasar silkworm (Antherea mylitta) pupae when compared to mulberry, eri, and muga pupae. In our preliminary study, we reported that tasar pupal oil is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) (37%), 19 which is an omega-3 essential fatty acid; therefore, It may prove to be a more beneficial substitute for edible oil.
