Fabrication of ZnO/MgO nanoparticles for catalytic pyrolysis of Phoenix dactylifera seeds biomass

Abstract: In this study slow catalytic pyrolysis of Phoenix dactylifera(date palm seeds) was investigated in fixed bed reactor in the presence of doped ZnO/MgOnanoparticles. These NPs were prepared by using homogenous precipitation method. The effect of catalytic dosage of doped ZnO/MgO and ZSM-5 was studied on the conversion of biomass into pyrolysis products. By using doped ZnO/MgO the production of bio oil was increased, further increasing reduced bio oil yield. ZSM-5 caused slight increase in the yield of bio oil. T… Show more

“…Five sharp peaks can be seen in the Spectral range between 1000–1100 cm −1 . Metal oxides usually indicate absorption bands below 1000 cm −1 as result of interatomic vibrations [26]. The spectrum shows a board peak at 3412.6 cm −1 and a small peak at 2046.4 cm −1 indicating the presence of OH − stretching and bending modes related to the adsorbed water.…”
